GMCSF brings live music and entertainment to the community through large-scale, main-stage concerts in high-profile venues, community-based engagements, and volunteer projects. More than 25,000 people are inspired and moved each year by the Chorus’s music, community outreach, and mission, making GMCSF a significant LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization and cultural asset in the heart of South Florida. With over 180 singing members, the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida is the southeastern United States’ largest gay men’s chorus and one of the country’s ten largest nonprofit LGBTQ+ choruses.
Mission: We sing so that LGBTQ+ people can live their truth through quality music experiences that inspire audiences, open minds, change hearts, and affirm our common humanity. Vision: A diverse world united. Our members are a community of diverse, intergenerational, and multicultural singers dedicated to our mission and a better future for all people. Being a member of the Chorus is about more than just singing. It is also about being good role models for our youth, giving back to the community, and helping those who need it. GMCSF singers serve communities with live music and entertainment in Broward, Miami Dade, Palm Beach counties, and more!
GMCSF is committed to ensuring that all community members can enjoy our performances and events regardless of their physical abilities. We take ADA compliance with venues seriously and work diligently to choose venues that are accessible to all. The venues we select include wheelchair ramps, accessible seating, accommodations for those with and mobility challenges. We also offer ASL interpreters at our shows. Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, and we continuously strive to improve accessibility in all aspects of our organization. If you have questions, please get in touch with us.

Welcome to the 14th season of the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida. We have a spectacular season planned where our chorus proudly embraces the theme, United We Sing. Celebrate The Holidays concerts will begin our season with joy, warmth, and a sense of togetherness like never before. We have a specially commissioned piece written for our chorus entitled Don’t Say Gay, I am so excited to premiere this very important piece of music. Our March concert, Hooray for Hollywood, will pay tribute to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, where dreams take flight and diversity shines. Through our music, we will celebrate the power of storytelling and the bonds that connect us across all cultures and backgrounds. Our Pride: Then Now and Forever concert will reflect on the remarkable journey of the LGBTQ+ community through the years. We will honor the resilience and strength of those who paved the way, celebrate our progress, and focus on the commonality that we all see and share with each other.
This season is so important as it is a testament to the unwavering strength within our chorus and community. It is a celebration of our shared commitment to come together and amplify our voices in the face of adversity. Thank you so much for being an integral part of our journey. Together, we will make the 14th season of the Gay Men’s Chorus a testament to the healing power of music and unity. So, let the music begin, and may our voices continue to resonate with love, hope, and UNITY!
I Dream of a Time, music and lyrics by Tom Nichols and Dan Chadburn, was performed live in the Songs of The Phoenix concert on March 24, 2023, at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale—more videos on YouTube.
