Hosted by Tony Award Nominee,

John Tartaglia!

Broadway!
Who visits New York without spending at least one magical night on the Great White Way?

Do you remember...

Laughing hysterically at what those bawdy Sesame Street knock-off puppets actually sang about in Avenue Q?

Being a wet sobbing mess when Albin belted out “I Am What I Am” in LaCage?

Or waiting at the stage door at the Nederlander Theatre to get autographs from the cast of Rent?

Sure, you do! Well, GMCSF’s June show will feel like an orchestra seat where you can relive those great LGBTQ+ moments in American musical theater...or discover them for the first time!

But, truth be told, there is a twist. This is going to be so much more than your average show-tune concert. Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia, who created and starred as Princeton and Rod in the hit musical Avenue Q, will not only lead you through great Broadway performances by the Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida, but he will also lead a whirlwind of trivia fun about Broadway's gayest moments. Thanks to interactive technology, you can play along in "real time," and we will declare a winner before the night is over. So bone up!

Of course, you can just enjoy the show and opt out of the trivia contest, but why miss out on all the fun?

*IMPORTANT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR DRIVE-IN MOVIE EVENT

PLEASE CHECK BACK REGULARLY. GUIDELINES MAY BE UPDATED BASED ON UPDATES FROM HEALTH OFFICIALS AND CHANGES IN LOCAL GUIDELINES.

We are happy to present a drive-in movie concert so that our fans can get out of the house to enjoy a larger-than-life experience with others. We are committed to doing what we can to try and make the experience as safe as we can for all involved. To do this, we will be enforcing the following requirements for patrons:

FOR VACCINATED PATRONS

Fully-vaccinated patrons can attend the drive-in concert and enjoy the freedom to not wear a mask and socialize, as per guidelines by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, CDC. Please refer to their instructions: CDC Fully-vaccinated Guidance. If you are someone in your party is particularly vulnerable, please consult your physician to determine best practices for staying safe. GMCSF assumes no responsibility for any individual's personal safety.

FOR UNVACCINATED OR PARTIALLY VACCINATED PATRONS

  • The event will be an in-car experience only. Regrettably, we cannot allow you to bring chairs and sit outside of your vehicle.
  • If you emerge from your vehicle to go to the restroom or visit a business at Dania Pointe, masks must be worn at all times when you are in the movie event. Dania Pointe's restaurants and other businesses will enforce their own guidelines.
  • If you are in a convertible or wish to roll down windows, you must wear a mask or park so that you are socially distanced from others.
  • We request that unvaccinated patrons not get out of their cars and visit others in our outside of their vehicles. If you must communicate with friends who are attending, we suggest using your phone to call and/or text.

If you are unable to follow the guidelines above, please do not attend the live event and instead join the virtual concert on the 25th.

We respect everyone's rights and freedom, however we also are committed to following established safety protocols to help ensure that one person's freedom of rights does not result in another's loss of life. At our drive-in event, we will have security on hand to help us enforce these policies.

NOTE: While we are taking every step possible to make our drive-in event as safe as we can, our efforts do not relieve our guests of their personal responsibility in ensuring their own safety. GMCSF is not liable for any consequences, real or perceived, resulting from participation in this event. By purchasing a ticket and agreeing to attend the April 9th drive-in move, you are agreeing to uphold our safety protocols and assume full responsibility for your own safety.
